Even working until 11 PM at night, there is just never enough time in the day even with an extra day this weekend. Dave and I got all the floors, stairs, and 20 doors stained. We are sealing the floors and doors today and then the foors again tomorrow and probably again on Monday. Dave is working on sealing the slate floors in the bathrooms so our potties and sinks can get installed and hooked up Monday. We had the counters installed Friday, but still have to stain the cabinets this weekend. Our big covered porch has come in very handy for staining all the doors. Luckily we have had 75 degree weather too! We still have so much finish and touch up work to do, but it's coming together nicely.

Wow, looks great! I had no idea you guys were so handy! I hope those cabinets were a bazillion dollars cheaper than the kind that came pre-stained! Good luck with that! It will feel so good to be able and look around when it's all finished and be able to say...we did that, this is our home in so many ways!
Thanks! If you are wondering how I'll be spending my weekend, well just look at the cabinets again:) I'm very afraid of how long it will take me, but better to do it now verses when we are moved in. Yep, the cabinets were tons cheaper unfinshed, but Dave spent countless hours and days working on the exact layout. It was a nightmare, but worth the savings!
