Our last 24 hours

We had a very busy Saturday as you can see by the photos below. We got up early Saturday morning and left for Aunt Nancy's house at 4 a.m. Derek graduated from high school yesterday and also Aunt Sharon is visiting so it was the perfect time for another visit. It was a 9 hour drive each way, and both girls did awesome. Not a single fit from either of them. Derek's gradiatopm celebrations began shortly after we arrived. Georgia was thrilled to be able to run around the house and spent a good amount of time terrorizing Max, the 24 pound black and white cat that she called "kitty-meow". She also went from cousin, to aunt to grandparent asking to "walk" and trying to grab their fingers. She was able to manipulate pretty much everyone into taking turns walking outside with her. It was very hot and humid, but Georgia didn't seem to notice. She smelled lots of flowers and played at the local park/sandlot. Gracie eventually got brave enough to let a few people hold her, briefly. She was a little overwhelmed by the crowd and didn't want to have Dave or me out of sight for very long. She did seem to enjoy crawling around after Georgia and the kitty. Aunt Nancy even sent us on our way home with a clean kid. Georgia got a bath after filling her pants with sand at the park! What a fun treat. As soon as we got into the car she announced that she was "tired". Well, it was about time! I can't believe she lasted as long as she did! We left at 6 that night for our drive home. Both girls slept the whole way home without a peep! We got home at 2:30 this morning and Dave and I were able to slip the kids into their beds and catch a few hours of a nap before they woke up. What a wonderful day and fun trip we had. It was so nice to get to see everyone again. We are so very lucky to get to live close enough to get to visit.
