Georgia and her new red Christmas shoes

Poor little thing is still sick and it's been a week today since she first came down with the bug. Don't let those thighs deceive you, she's lost some pounds this week from no eating. I will be happy when she's back to her old self again and eating everything in sight.

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Morning

Thank goodness we were all home for Christmas and able to get up and open presents! Dave seems to be all better while Georgia is still working on getting her appetite back. Gracie is eating better, but still throwing up all the time. She's kind of a wreck in the Christmas photos as you will see. Poor thing. Grandma Betty was down for Christmas too so that has also been fun. Georgia was much more into Christmas this year. She couldn't quite get all the paper off the presents, and didn't really care if gifts/toys were still in the box. She packed them around anyway. It was fun to watch her have such a good time. She also wanted to wear ALL of her new clothes as the same time.

Gracie's home from the hospital

Well, after 24 hours of puking and refusing to eat, Gracie had to be taken in to the hospital yesterday. They admitted her, started an IV and pumped her full of fluids for 7 hours. She eventually drank 2 oz of formula and kept it down, so we got to come home in the middle of the night. They wanted to keep her longer, but with the baby we shared a room with (and her annoying parents who never turned the TV off or the volume down even at midnight)I figured she's recover better in her own crib at home. Gracie was so tired but kept getting woke up every 10 minutes and I knew she was desperate to just be allowed to sleep. Georgia is doing better and drinking but still not wanting to eat anything. Dave is a zombie. I hope he will feel better this morning when he wakes up. I'm still not sick, and I'm crossing my fingers!!!!!

Santa gave us an early present this year....

the FLU!!!! Georgia started puking Wednesday afternoon until last night. Gracie got it after dinner last night and Dave got it in the middle of the night last night. Everyone also has fevers, but too sick to keep tylenol down. I am just praying I don't get it next. I seriously do not know what we'd do if I was out of commission too! Dave thinks I haven't gotten it yet because I'm the mom and they need me:) We are down to our last can of 7-UP, so I will have to venture out to the grocery store for pop and jello sometime today between loads of icky laundry. Hopefully this will all be out of our system by Christmas. The good news is that the bug is making everyone sleepy so there are lots of naps going on right now.

Christmas Dinner at Nana's

Nana had everyone over to her house for dinner Sunday night. It was great to have to mini family reunion and catch up. Gracie took a few naps on Nana's floor, but mostly was passed around from cousin to cousin. She sure seemed to like all the attention.

Sunday Morning at the Hotel

My favorite photo is the one of Gracie sittin on "Santa Zachary's lap". It's so cute!!!! Thanks Brian and DeLisha for coming all the way over to from Wentachee to see us.

Trip to Washington

Well, Gracie and I arrived at midnight last night. Just as I suspected would happen, our luggage did not arrive with us. Well, 1/2 of it anyway. The carseat never made the connecting flight. Hopefully it will be delivered to us today like the airline promised. We had a wonderful trip and it was great to see everyone. Gracie did awesome. She was a very friendly and smiley little girl and an excellent sleeper putting in an average of 9 1/2 hours straight each night. She never cried on the plane and slept most of the way. We are happy to be home and Georgia is so excited to have a "baby" back in the house. It's all she can seem to talk about today. Dave had the house all cleaned for me when we got home at 1:30 this morning! It was a wonderful surprise and made unpacking easier. I have about 100 photos from the past 4 days so I'll try to post them according to the day to make it easier. The following photos start with Gracie sleeping on the floor of the airport in Detroit. She was SO tired and we hadn't even started our trip yet! Sara and Sidda met me at the airport and later that night Annie flew in from Belize. Sarah Louise went with Sara to pick her up since it was midnight Friday when she arrived. Kathy, Keegan, Cousin Tammy, Sean, DeLisha, Brian & Zachary all arrived at the hotel on Saturday and we headed downtown to the Wild Ginger to have lunch. It was a big group we had! Saturday night, Grandma Kathy watched Gracie and Sidda so us ladies could go out for a little shopping. It was so much fun to see all of downtown Seattle all lit up for Christmas. Later that night, DeLisha and I took Zachary down to the pool for a little dip. Gracie was already sleeping so we didn't wake her. The time went by way too fast and it was so wonderful to see everyone.

Ponytail

Georgia has been sporting a new look with her cute little nub of a ponytail. Gracie has been eating lots of rice cereal lately, and Bounty got a good brushing. You can see how much hair Dave was able to get off of her with the Furminator brush. We love that thing! That's about it for our update.

I think Elvis said it best, but my tree theme this year is Blue Christmas

Well, I finally got Dave to go chop me down a tree out back. It's just perfect! It's a Blue Spruce and my absolute favorite type of tree for Christmas. We decided to put it out on the front porch so we can keep that door closed so Georgia doesn't pull all the decorations off. We don't use that entrance anyway, so we put it right in front of the glass door so you can see it from top to bottom from the road. We can still see it from inside the living room too since that door has a glass window also. I used all different shades of blue to decorate it. I love it!!!!

Gracie's 4 Month Check-Up

Gracie had her 4 month check-up and shots on Friday. She was 24 3/4 inches long (60%) and 13.10 pounds (25%). Her head is still in the 10% but it is growing so we are happy. Just for fun, when Georgia was this age she weighed just about 18 pounds and 24 inches long! So Gracie seems quite tiny to us! Poor Georgia was in the 40% for height and well over the 100% for weight. She was a mellon! Gracie now weighs 1/2 as much as Georgia does right now so she's not so fragile anymore. Georgia is talking more and more everyday. Her new word, or I should say her first phrase,of the weeks is "good-girl". This is the best age right now. She seems to understand and communicate more and more with each day. We are having the best time with these little girls!!!!

Graduation from Wilton Cake Decorating Class I

Well, tonight will be my graduation from part I of III of my cake decorating class. I am really having so much fun and can't wait to start the second class. This is my final cake for this class.

The Grave Blankets are Finished!!!

We finished all 6 of the graveblankets we needed for our family. We drove down to the cemetery and laid them down on the graves. It was very special that we were able to make them from our own trees. I've never seen graveblankets anywhere but here. Must be a midwest thing. They sure are beautiful and a really great idea for keeping the graves looking pretty all winter.
