Another year older:)
Betty brought us some fresh warm homemade coffee cake for breakfast this morning and then later this afternoon we celebrated my 33rd birthday with 2 pies!!! She made my favorite b-day lemon meringue pie and then brought us a DQ ice cream cake too! It's just not my birthday with that pie!!! Tonight Dave is taking me on a surprise date. I sure hope we can both stay awake!!!!
Thanks Auntie Annie

Just in case...
the cake doesn't make it, I took a photo! I always take a photo of all my cakes since you just never know what might happen to them during delivery! I want proof of my efforts! We are about to leave for our yearly trip to PA to visit my Grandpa Ed, Grandma Dot, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Gary, cousins Derek and Alicia and once again Aunt Sharon will be out to visit during our trip too. That's a nice bonus:) It's Grandpa Ed's 80th birthday next week and I've been wanting to make him this giant golfball cake for over a year now. I sure hope it makes the trip in once piece! Dave, the kids and I will be leaving at 3 AM Friday for our 9 hour drive to Aunt Nancy's. We hope to visit from about noon-6 PM or so and then drive 9 hours straight home. This sounds nuts with 3 little kids, I know! But what is MORE nuts is trying to get everyone to sleep in a hotel. We've found, from past experiences, that it's just best to drive as much as we can during the dark so the kids sleep. We are so lucky to live close enough to drive instead of having to fly. Maybe in a couple of years we'll try the hotel thing again so we can get to visit longer. I would love to take the kids to Hershey just like I got to do when I visited back when I was little. I'll post an update when we return.
