The Sherman-Youngblood Farm Welcomes baby Wyatt Sherman Youngblood!

Wyatt was born at 8:37 AM on April 10th. He was 6 pounds 11 ounces (the same as Dave and Georgia) and was 19 3/4 inches long (the same as Gracie). Surgery took a little over an hour and thankfully my spinal also worked this time around and I didn't feel pain during the procedure. That's always a bonus! We got home around 11:30 this morning and my recovery is going well. I'm sore, but would say that I'm doing better this time around than even the girls. I can't wait to be up and back to my old self. I am sorry I was not able to call everyone like I thought I would. They had 3 different nursing schools with student nurses on all days and between the nurses, doctors and students, we never had a minute to ourselves and I was not able to sleep until night. It was very hard to have so many people constantly around and we are thrilled to finally be home and alone! Enjoy the photos.

The big day finally arrived!

Here are some last belly shots the morning before we left for the hospital. It was 4:15 in the morning so forgive our tired little faces:) Here are a few from the hospital right before delivery too. Dave was really tired and wanted to crawl into the baby's bed for a little nap. I survived my IV, though it did take two trys and I came inches away from passing out the first time. The IV is always the part I fear the most...it always hurts the most too!

Last Girls Day Out

I thought I'd let the girls take McDonald's Happy Meals to the park for one last girls day out before baby boy comes tomorrow. It was a little over 50 degrees and pretty windy so we didn't stay long. Georgia still loves to climb. I turned around and she was almost up the rock wall all by herself! Gracie just really loves to swing. Just as we were leaving the park, Dave called to say his office threw him a surprise baby shower and wanted to know if I wanted to drive down to Detroit to help him open presents. So we drove the hour down there and the girls went nuts in his office with all his coworkers. They had a ball and ate about 3 cupcakes each! It was a wonderful surprise and lots of fun! I don't have photos of the shower since the Federal Building security wouldn't allow me to take my camera in.
